Frequently Asked Questions About Installments and Auto Renew

Q: Is there a fee for credit card installments and/or Auto Renew?

A: There is a $20 annual fee to use installment payments. There is no fee for Auto Renew.

Q: How is my payment amount for installments calculated?

A: The total amount on your personalized dues statement of mandatory items, any voluntary amounts selected, and the $20 fee is divided by either 4 or 12 depending on the installment plan you choose. The dates the credit card and ACH will be run and the amounts will be shown on the online screen when making this selection.

Q: What if I sign up for installments and it is after the first monthly installment date of December 10, 2019?

A: Dues are due based on a calendar year. Installment credit card charges will run on or about the 10th of the month for the 4 payment plan (December 2020, and January, February, March 2021) or 12 equal payments on or about the 10th of the month (December 2020-November 2021).

If you sign up for installments after the first installment date of December 10, your credit card or ACH will be billed for any outstanding months up to that point. For example, if you pay your dues on February 2, 2021 and select the 12 month installment option – your credit card or ACH will run immediately for the December 2020 and January 2021 payments. Then on February 10, your credit card or ACH will run beginning the cycle of monthly payments on the 10th of the remaining months.

Q: What if my credit card expires or changes?

A: Please call the KDA Membership Department at 785-272-7360 or update online.

The Kansas Dental Association will send an email notice before the 2022 membership dues billing, and each subsequent year, to remind you of the Auto Renew and notify you if any dues amounts have changed.

Q: Can I Auto Renew if I make one payment or is it just for installments?

A: The options for Auto Renew include 1 full payment, 4 equal payments on or about the 10th of the month (December 2020, and January, February, and March 2021), or 12 equal payments on or about the 10th of the month (December 2020-November 2021).

Q: What if ADA, KDA, or district dues change next year and you are signed up for Auto Renew?
