The 2013 KDA Summer Getaway gave sixty-two KDA members, family and friends a taste of Chicago along with continuing education and entertainment in the Windy City. Scheduled activities like a baseball game at historic Wrigley Field, an evening dinner cruise aboard the Mystic Blue and a comedy show at Second City provided the chance to socialize with other dentists from across the state. Individual outings of Chicago destinations like the Hancock Tower Observatory, the Taste of Chicago outdoor food festival, and Segway tours were a chance to see the uniqueness of the city.
The women dentists of the KDA held a wine cheese tasting at Fox & Obel and a Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise gave a chance to learn the interpretation of more than fifty buildings along the Chicago River. For many, Chicago gave a chance to see family members and reconnect with college friends. But whatever the activity, the weather provided a perfect backdrop to the weekend.
