KDA Google Earth Interactive Kiosk

We'll take information the dental professionals provides to us about their practice and create a three dimensional interactive application using Google Earth. We hope to include information and photos of the practice along with other information students may find important.

We already upload the locations and information on the eighteen KAMU safety-net clinics and we will add the locations of the dentist exhibitors. As students "zoom in" on a practice, we hope to provide them with more detailed information both about the dental practice, but also about the community in which they may live and raise a family. We hope that by presenting this information in this interactive way, students can learn more about the dental practice

After the Real World Transition Brunch students will be able to continue to interact with this map as well as view the materials from their mobile devices.

Why Attend?

Dentists and representatives of a dental practice or public health clinic are invited to attend the Kansas Dental Association’s Real World Transition Brunch.

If you are looking for an associate or wanting to sell your practice, this is an event that will provide one-on-one networking with dental students who are approaching the transition to the “Real World”.

student table All UMKC dental students and all Kansas students from Creighton University and the University of Nebraska have been invited to attend. For further networking, all dentists will be provided a list of attending students and students will be provided a list of attending dentists.

This is our second year for this event under the “Real World Transition Brunch” name and format. In addition to dentists attending, professionals in the dental industry have been invited and will be present at different stations to answer students’ questions. The stations will include: financing, insurance, ADA and KDA membership, public health representatives, and a transition specialist.

We invite you to bring print materials and business cards to help with marketing. Each dentist will not have an individual table to set up banners, signs or have access to an electrical outlet. Students will be able to identify you with a name tag.
