Today is the hearing on HB2372 in the House Health and Human Services Committee. The KDA and other health associations and health care providers will tell the committee just how important community water fluoridation is to reducing tooth decay and saving families and tax payers money.
Water fluoridation has been proven for decades to be a safe, health and effective way to reduce tooth decay. While fluoride opponents will declare water fluoridation to be harmful, science and the health profession say otherwise. This bill is simply a scare tactic designed to put unnecessary fear in the citizens of Kansas. Three out of every four residents of the United States benefits from water fluoridation. Contact your legislator and tell him or her that you support water fluoridation and to vote No on HB 2372.
