Dr. Jason Wagle Becomes KDA President

wagle_onwhiteDr. Jason Wagle of Wichita became the 2013-14 President of the Kansas Dental Association at the 2013 KDA Annual Meeting during the UMKC Midwest Dental Conference in Kansas City.

He succeeds Dr. Craig Herre of Leawood.

Wagle was presented with the President’s gavel of the KDA, “wielded” by the President of the KDA ever since Dr.  H. W. Parsons of Wamego presented the handmade gavel to the KDA in 1890.

“I want to thank Dr. Herre for all he has done, he is a great friend and mentor” said Wagle as he accepted the office.  ”I also thank you, the members of the KDA.  Two very distinguished members asked me a few years ago what my agenda was.  I told them that I just want to be the very best I can for the KDA members.  I am blessed to have such good past presidents to mentor me.”

Wagle presented Herre with the photograph that will be displayed in the KDA Past President’s Conference Room and a plaque to recognize his service as president.

“I am very excited the direction the KDA and ADA is taking,” he said.

In other elections, Dr. Steve Hechler was elected KDA Vice President, Dr. John Fales was elected Treasurer, and Nick Rogers elected Secretary.  Dr. Cindi Sherwood becomes the KDA President Elect.
