She thanked Dr. Hal Hale, who served as KDA President in 2011, for his ongoing work with the legislature. She also commended Dr. Craig Herre, who served as KDA President in 2012, for his creativity, which sparked the idea of the KDA Summer Get Away- held for the first time in Chicago in 2013.

Dr. Sherwood said that she, Dr. Jason Wagle (Immediate Past President), and the rest of the Executive Committee have worked together seamlessly over the past few years. She thanked her fellow officers for their dedication and support. She also expressed their excitement to work with newly elected Executive Committee Secretary, Dr. Melodee Armfield, in their future endeavors.

The Executive Committee retained Dr. Nick Rogers as Treasurer, and Dr. John Fales as Vice President. Dr. Steve Hechler moved into the position of President-Elect.
